God is our constant companion, is what we can say if we are saved and filled with the Holy Ghost (He is the Comforter: John 14:16). Since He is a constant companion to us, we can depend on Him to provide us direction in everyday life, brought on by the Sacrificial Work of Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:20; Hebrews 13:5; Romans 8:38-39).
We are also directed to pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17), which means to keep a spirit of prayer at all times. If you normally are praying a few times a day, then that means to never stop doing that. Keep your normal prayers and continue always unto the Lord in prayer and petitioning (Ephesians 6:18). Remember to pray with discretion, so if you are talking to the Lord, it is best to do it silently or quietly to not put on a show before others (see Matthew 6).
Let God’s guidance lead you into hope and patience during tribulation (Romans 12:12). To avoid anxiety, in every situation, communicate with God through prayer and petition along with gratitude (Philippians 4:6). To avoid evil in your life, be devoted to prayer at all times, and include thanksgiving – and be vigilant/watchful against evil/sin/temptation (Colossians 4:2).
